Nebraska Organ Recovery is one of 58 organ procurement organizations (OPO) throughout the country dedicated to saving and enhancing lives through organ, tissue and eye donation. We serve all of Nebraska and Pottawattamie County, IA.
As an OPO, we have three main responsibilities:
- Recover organs and tissues for transplantation
- Maintain the Donor Registry of Nebraska
- Provide education on the importance of donation
Although Nebraska Organ Recovery works in cooperation with all the hospitals and transplant centers in our service area, we are an independent, non-profit organization.
The mission of Nebraska Organ Recovery System is to maximize the recovery and quality of organs and tissues for transplantation while maintaining sensitivity, compassion and respect for people of all cultures.
We are proud to partner with these national and local organizations in a shared mission to save and enhance lives through organ, tissue and eye donation.
Our leaders are driven to make Nebraska Organ Recovery a transformative voice in advancing donation. Meet the team.
