My big brother John cherished the people in his life and loved them so deeply. He would sum up his life speaking about the memorable times spent with friends and family. He would tell of his 2 beautiful boys, Caleb and Cameron, and how proud he was to be their daddy. There was nothing he loved more than watching his boys grow and develop into their own unique personalities. His hands would tell a story of a hard working and dedicated man who would always lend a helping hand to those in need. His smile and contagious laugh would light up a room. My brother passed away just shy of his 30th birthday in 2011. And although John is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the lives of others as he gave the gift of tissue donation. Anytime I drive by a lake, feel a cool breeze brush my cheek, or cast a fishing line hoping for that big catch, I think of John and I am so grateful that he was my big brother, if only for the time God allowed me to have him.
